The upper is based on a stardust-pink jumbo corduroy that engulfs the AM1’s panelling. The Swoosh’s coral pink hue is a much-needed pop on this monotone upper, with a darker set of tones sandwiching the bright upper on the inner lining and outsole. A darker burgundy stitch is also used on the embroidered Nike Air on the heel, beautifully set against the lighter shade of corduroy. Underfoot, an off white midsole complements the contemporary set of materials while still giving this AM1 a familiar feel. After a positive response on the 2018 release of the Air Max 1 Crepe "Wheat Gold Rust Pink", Nike was clearly happy to go full steam ahead with the make-up, now resulting in this colourful ensemble.
