Air Jordan 3 Retro White Cement Reimagined

Originally releasing in 1988, the Air Jordan 3 was a debut in more ways than one. It was the first Air Jordan designed by Tinker Hatfield, the first AJ to feature the Jumpman logo and the first to feature an exposed Air unit; it took a brave step forward and went on to influence the rest of the Jordan lineage of sneakers. Of course, the people over at the Swoosh know this best and want to pay homage to the silhouette’s first release with this “White Cement Reimagined” colourway.

This Air Jordan 3 is designed to resemble the OG tooling and shape found on the 80s pair. Thanks to nostalgia and respect for the shoe’s original form, it’s always a big win for sneakerheads when they find out that Nike is bringing back the shoe’s original shape. The thick white leather found on most of the classic AJ3s is back in its true form, along with the highly coveted elephant print on the toe and heel. The midsole, eyestays and heel tab have been given the aged treatment, similar to the yellowing found on the “Lost & Found” Air Jordan 1s. The box has also taken design cues from the “Lost and Found” release with its pre-damaged edges and OG Jordan design.
