Following the “Black Cement” colourway from the Air Jordan 4, this pair forgoes the elephant print panels seen on the AJ3, an addition that may have cheapened the luxury-inspired silhouette. The split between the smooth leather and faux iguana-textured panels is still at hand, draped in a black that dominates the upper. The usual perforations, lacing system and plastic heel support have also remained untouched, doused in the occasional grey which highlights the shoe’s features. The Wings insignia patch embeds itself on the tongue in a red accent, a colour that is echoed throughout the shoe such as on the tongue piping above.
