Make no mistake, although the new washed panelling takes the upper down a slightly different route, all the signature traits of the AJ1 High are still present. A Wings insignia is proudly embossed onto the ankle support collar, while a white leather toe box and sidewall panelling nods to OG colour blocking. Unlike the “Washed Pink” release, the sole is based in an off-white tone instead of a heavy yellowing, with a black tread underfoot matching the hits of branding on the upper. A red Nike Air tongue label gives this drop another classic touch, a detail seen on many favourite editions such as the Jordan 1 Retro High “Bred” from 2016 and Jordan 1 “Bred Toe” from 2018. Wrapping up the entourage of vintage detailing are the set of white laces, giving these that extra ’85 touch.
